| I had the gruelling task of travelling from store to store with my Girlfriend to find the "right" sofa, who knew it was such an enviable undertaking we started in the east end around King Streets "furniture Row" hit about 8 different stores, including a few that I thought had the "right stuff" , we finally made our way through Sears, the Bay and then Queen West, where we landed on the sofas at Pavilion, my first test sofa was right as you walk in and it was pretty big, comfortable and seemed to be around the same prices as everywhere, then a salesgirl approached us and asked if she could help us with any of the 1000 fabrics the sofa came in, this was the first store to suggest so many different fabrics, almost every store we had hit showed us a book of fabrics if that, 1000 fabrics was mind boggling! We said we were just looking and she left us to wander through their huge store (bigger than most King East stores)
we then found a sofa that we both loved, again the salesgirl Cherlene approched us and offered that the sofa was made in a Toronto Studio, had a lifetime warranty came in more than 1000 choices and also in leather..I was excited for the first time in my day, a Canadian made Local sofa, with choices including leather. Cherlene walked us through all kinds of fabrics and leathers, but then asked if we had measurements for the space we were trying to fit the sofa in, we didn't but we went through all the motions of looking and deciding on what we wanted (size was the final decision). Cherlene offerred to email us pictures and measurements so we could make a decision without rushing (that was a surprise) she also called over a co-worker to help us with colour choices, her co-worker made some great suggestions about fabrics that had "hard wearing features" and they told us about all kinds of things you don't know that you don't know about buying furniture, delivery, assembly, warranties, fabric protection, leather care and cleaning tips, showed us the construction of the cusions and the leg choices, we didn't buy it that day but we did the following week, they were again super nice, and without asking we got a discount for being over a floor minimum purchase, (we also bought a floor lamp and 2 side tables). We were told to anticipate an 8 to 12 week delivery and 8 weeks later everything had arrived, we were really happy to get our stuff ahead of time as it was just befire the July 1st weekend and the G20 was threatening to gridlock everything, but without fail it all arrived on time and was delivered by these 2 guys that said they do all the deliveries for Pavilion and they are super busy, we paid $90.00 for delivery but they took all the paking away and put the legs on, Cherlene followed up on the Tuesday, I couldn't believe it, I thought maybe she owned the store but she is only there 3 days a week, I am not that concientious in my full time job we were both really impressed! I would shop and recommend Pavilion to anyone! Mason. | ||
